Spiral Trac Environmental Control Device
Install with Mechanical Seals/Packing for Effective Removal of Solids and Improved CoolingThe SpiralTrac™ Environmental Controller* is an exclusive, patented throat bushing specially engineered to transform and control the internal stuffing box environment in rotating process equipment to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. With unique versions designed to work with both Chesterton mechanical seals and packing, SpiralTrac modifies the flows that exist inside rotating processing equipment:
- Enables particulates to be removed from the stuffing box (and away from packing or mechanical seals)
- Permits air to evacuate the stuffing box upon flooding to retain cooling
- Minimizes heat buildup in the stuffing box by creating circulation around seal faces.
Avoid Complex Environmental Control Systems
SpiralTrac is used with a small flush or no flush in chemical service applications and is machined in the bottom to effectively drain the seal cavity.
It is offered in four configurations:
- Split: Split ring design for easy installation
- Adapter: For non-standard stuffing box configurations
- Standard: Bushing style
- Packing: For use with compression packing

Split Case Pump Rebuild
Powerflo Products Inc. provides pump rebuild services, such as this Worthington Flowserve double suction split case pump, to factory new specs and clearances.
This pump rebuild is an example of Powerflo’s experienced capabilities. For corrosion resistance the pump has been coated throughout with Skotch Kote 134 and utilizes our custom machined 316SS seal glands. The impeller was trimmed and dynamically balanced. This pump, like every Powerflo pump rebuild, was hydro-static tested for leaks ensuring a leak free install and start up. All major brands served such as Goulds, Aurora, Peerless, Worthington, Fairbanks Morse and Bell & Gossett.
Facilities in Southern California such as water departments, pulp and paper mills, oil refineries, oil production fields, waste water treatment, food, beverage and general industrial manufacturing plants partner with Powerflo Products Inc. for fast, efficient, and reliable repairs to their rotating and processing equipment.
